2023 NAEC Distinguished Service Award
The National Association of Elevator Contractors Association (NAEC) at their annual convention in Reno, Nevada awarded Midwest Elevator’s Founder and President, Gary Schuette, the William C. Sturgeon Distinguished Service Award. The NAEC presents this award annually to the person who most merits the elevator industry’s recognition.
It is given to an individual who has given unselfishly to the benefit of the association and the industry, an individual who unerringly supports and participates in the activities of the organization and has given much of their life to the betterment of the industry and the Association.
In accepting the award, Schuette said, “while I am generally recognized as the face of Midwest Elevator and frequently receive the credit for our success, I do believe that our success is a result of the sum of the parts. This award is a huge honor. But, way too much credit is coming my way for the extraordinary accomplishments of the NAEC and Midwest Elevator. Schuette continued in saying, “joining the NAEC gave me the necessary resources to fulfill all the promises I was making to prospective employees and customers of Midwest Elevator.”
