Midwest Elevator Company was established in 1999 in St. Louis as an independent, full-service elevator contractor. We
offer maintenance, repair, modernization and new installation on commercial elevator equipment in St. Louis, Kansas City
and Columbus, Ohio. Our success stems from our focus on always putting the customer first.
Midwest Elevator St. Louis is creating a new Accounting Coordinator position to evolve with the continued growth of the
company and implementation of a new software program in 2025. This role is an integral part of our finance team and will
involve a variety of accounting tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Annual Contract Price Adjustments: Prepare and verify service contracts that are to be increased each month
• Generate Monthly Invoices: Generate monthly invoices and send to customers
• Credit Card Reconciliations: Perform credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Weekly Vendor Payments: Maintain purchase journal and issue vendor checks weekly
• Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other accounting tasks and projects as required by management, with an open-minded
approach to role evolution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
• Ability to learn new software
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
